The knife attack last Tuesday of the teacher of the Lycée Malherbe de Caen still strongly marks the spirits of the educational staff gathered this Monday, September 19 at Lycée Fresnel.
In front of the square, all hold letters in their hands, forming the sentence : “Support for our colleagues from Malherbe”.
“We cannot stay on prejudices. The attacks do not only happen in certain neighborhoods, nor in certain populations. Here, it was a very famous high school continues Sophie,It even happens in downtown establishments”.

“We wanted to do something very visible, we took the time. The facts happened almost a week ago, but it was necessary to come together even if our reaction was late”explains Sébastien Chieu, union representative of the CGT.

“What is especially lacking in establishments is people. There is unease about the means. Students and teachers feel like numbers.”
