It’s a photo that caused a lot of reaction on the Web: on Instagram, Alban Travia, manager of Kendji Girac, published a few days ago a photo in which the winner of The Voice alongside Brigitte Macron… and Rihanna! The international star, accompanied by her partner A$AP Rocky, was received at the Élysée by the First Lady, on the sidelines of Paris Fashion Week. Initially, this meeting remained secret until the end, to which the sons of billionaire Bernard Arnault were also entrusted, had not been justified by the palace. But since, Rihanna and Kendji Girac explained the reasons of the dinner they shared with Brigitte Macronand the invitation of the latter which they gladly accepted.
Indeed, Rihanna agreed to be the ambassador of the Yellow Pieces, seven years after having challenged President Macron, just elected. On Twitter, in July 2017, the singer implored the new French head of state to make education his first commitment. This speech resulted in the 34-year-old starlet being welcomed by the presidential couple at the Élysée, and their interview went very wellaccording to what Rihanna said on her social networks: “I had an absolutely incredible meeting with the president and first lady, they were incredibly welcoming to us. I was very inspired and impressed by his leadership” she declared, enthusiastically.
“Heartbroken” by his helplessness in the face of the suffering of children
With NRJ, the singer returned to this ambassadorial position that Brigitte Macron offered her, and which she accepted: “Children are helpless, and they are helpless! So when the children are not well, it breaks your heart; and as a parent, it probably breaks your heart more, because you probably feel even more helpless, so much so that you have never been so helpless in your life. It’s important to support them.” declared the interpreter of Diamondsmade famous around the world at the end of the 2000s thanks to her hit Don’t stop the music.
