The kibbutz of Be’eri, located four kilometers from the border with the Gaza Strip, was the scene of horror scenes on October 7. More than 100 bodies were discovered there. A France 2 team was able to get there.

The meeting was made at the entrance to the closed military zone, just a few kilometers from the Gaza Strip. The army invited many journalists to go to the kibbutz of Be‘eriwhere massacres took place during Hamas’ attack on Israel. Near the kibbutz, the army is still collecting corpses Hamas fighters. The clashes lasted for almost 24 hours. Several dozen Hamas fighters are said to have entered here. The kibbutz fence was opened in different places.

Children’s toys are abandoned on the ground, each house has its tragic story. THE Residents would have locked themselves inside, Hamas would have set fire to force them out, some were burned alive. A week after the tragedy, the army’s emergency response units Israeli are finishing their work. They collected all the corpses from the kibbutz and still can’t believe it. “We saw everything, I can’t even describe it, it’s so horrible”, explains a soldier.

At the border with the Gaza Strip, other soldiers are waiting for orders to enter the enclave. Some went inside the village to see what happened there. “After that, we can no longer envisage peace, for my generation and certainly the next, it’s sad”says one of them.
