The incident occurred after he went to the scene of an attack on an 18-year-old woman who was stabbed and seriously injured by gunfire in the suburbs of the Israeli city of Tel Aviv, AFP learned from a surgeon at the hospital where she is being treated.

A spokesperson for the rescue service, Maguen David Adom, declared on X that its “rescuers had taken care of an 18-year-old woman, conscious, in serious condition, with an injury to the upper part of the body”. The police specified that his assailant was killed, without providing details on the identity or motive.
