An Israeli injured in a stabbing attack in the central Israeli town of Hadera on Wednesday died from his injuries, the hospital announced Thursday, October 10.“Unfortunately, despite the numerous efforts of the medical team, the injured man was pronounced dead in critical condition,” says a statement from Hillel Yaffe Medical Center in Hadera.
The municipality identified the man as Rafael Mordechai Fishof, 35, an ultra-Orthodox Jew and father of six children. A total of six people were injured late Wednesday morning in this attack. The attacker, who fled on a motorbike, was arrested after being injured by a passerby armed with a pistol.
Police did not provide any information on the suspect’s marital status, but local media believe he could be a 36-year-old Israeli citizen from the Arab town of Oum al-Fahm.
