“Israeli artillery is striking the area of Lebanon from which a shot came,” the text indicates, without further details on the nature of this attack. This announcement comes as Israel has been facing an offensive since Saturday from the Palestinian Islamist movement Hamas launched from the Gaza Strip, on its southern flank. Hamas and other Palestinian movements engaged in armed struggle against Israel are based in southern Lebanon.
