(Jerusalem) A woman died from her injuries in a gun and stabbing attack, the perpetrator of which was “neutralized”, and which also left 10 injured on Sunday in the city of Beersheva (South), according to the emergency services.
“Rescuers pronounced the death of a 25-year-old woman and evacuated ten injured people to Soroka hospital,” announced Magen David Adom, the Israeli equivalent of the Red Cross in a press release, some injured having been affected shot and others stabbed.
Israeli police previously announced that “several people were injured in a shooting attack at the Beersheva central bus station.”
“The terrorist has been neutralized and police forces are on site,” the press release added.
The Israeli army was put on alert on Sunday, for fear of attacks, on the eve of the first anniversary of the unprecedented attack by Hamas on Israeli soil which sparked the war in Gaza.
Seven people were killed Tuesday with automatic weapons and stabbing by two Palestinians from the occupied West Bank, one killed and the other seriously injured, at a tram station in Tel Aviv, in the center of Israel.
This attack in Tel Aviv, claimed by Hamas, is the deadliest by the Palestinian Islamist movement on Israeli soil in a year.
The October 7 attack led to the death of 1,205 people on the Israeli side, the majority of them civilians killed, according to an AFP count based on official Israeli figures and including hostages who died or were killed in captivity in the Strip. Gaza
