(Tel Aviv) An explosion of unknown origin that occurred around 3:15 a.m. (8:15 p.m. Eastern time) left seven people lightly injured in central Tel Aviv, according to Israeli police, while the army said it was investigating a possible “aerial” attack.
“Police forces have arrived on the scene and are inspecting the area for suspicious objects. […] “Seven people with minor injuries were treated,” police wrote in a statement, calling on “residents to respect safety instructions and not to approach or touch debris or shrapnel that could contain explosives.” A resident of central Tel Aviv told AFP that he had been woken up by a loud explosion: “everything shook,” he said.
