Israel Antwine released | The Alouettes hire Jalen Wayne, Ferlando Jordan and Nigel Warrior

(Montreal) The Montreal Alouettes announced Wednesday the signing of three American players, wide receiver Jalen Wayne and defensive backs Ferlando Jordan and Nigel Warrior.


The Montreal team also released defensive lineman Israel Antwine.

Wayne played for the University of South Alabama Jaguars from 2017 to 2022. The 24-year-old led his team with nine receiving touchdowns in his final campaign. He caught 58 passes for 817 yards in 13 starts. He was a member of the Buffalo Bills and Cleveland Browns organizations.

Jordan wore the colors of the Southeastern Louisiana University Lions from 2018 to 2022. In 44 games, the 24-year-old amassed 97 tackles in addition to being complicit in 40 others, made 10 interceptions and knocked down 38 passes. In 2023, he was invited to the Atlanta Falcons minicamp and played for the Pittsburgh Maulers in the USFL.

Warrior joins his cousin JR Reed with the Alouettes. The defensive back played four years for the University of Tennessee Volunteers (2016-19). In 49 games, he had 142 solo tackles and 97 assisted tackles, adding five interceptions and a touchdown. He was a member of the Baltimore Ravens and Seattle Seahawks organizations, with whom he played four games.
