(Vancouver) A 22-year-old Vancouver man was killed in southern Israel after Hamas militants launched a series of deadly attacks on Saturday.
The principal of Vancouver’s King David High School confirmed on Facebook that his former student Ben Mizrachi was shot and killed while attending a music festival in southern Israel.
Russ Klein’s statement indicates that Mr. Mizrachi was larger than life, with lots of personality.
A funeral will take place on Wednesday in Israel.
Vancouver Granville MP Taleeb Noormohamed said on social media that Mr. Mizrachi, “a wonderful young man of [sa] constituency”, had been “found among those murdered by Hamas terrorists”.
The music festival brought together thousands of people in the desert near Gaza and was one of several areas the gunmen focused on during their initial attack.
