(Ottawa) An Ottawa woman was killed by Hamas terrorists, according to a Jewish organization in the federal capital.
The victim, Adi Vital-Kaploun, is the third Canadian national to be murdered during attacks perpetrated by Hamas in Israel.
The Jewish Federation of Ottawa will hold a press conference at 3 p.m. Wednesday to provide more information.
Media reports initially reported that the woman, believed to be the mother of two young children, was taken hostage when Hamas gunmen stormed Kibbutz Holit.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mélanie Joly, announced Wednesday morning that the death toll had increased, with three deaths, including one presumed.
She refused to confirm that the alleged victim was Adi Vital-Kaploun.
The other two victims are Alexandre Look, a 33-year-old Montrealer, and Ben Mizrachi, a 22-year-old man from British Columbia.
The two men were attending an outdoor concert in southern Israel when Hamas attacked.
