Just on Nancy (Meurthe-et-Moselle)volunteers from Petits Frères des Pauvres look after around a hundred elderly people. She ensures: “I really like taking care of people who want to get by (…)which age well. By supporting their morale, we can support their state of health.”
“It kills isolation”
Visits to seniors and administration occupy this retiree 10 to 15 hours each week. In recent years, the volunteer has slowed down a bit to enjoy her daughters and grandchildren. The association and its volunteers, a beneficiary discovered them in 2019. Their support allowed him to quit alcohol and soon go on vacation. “It kills isolation, it makes us do things that are not possible”testifies this beneficiary.
