1:50 p.m. : The Taiwanese army claims that 68 Chinese fighter jets and 13 warships crossed the “median line” which cuts the Taiwan Strait in two, during military exercises led by Beijing. “We condemn the communist army which deliberately crossed the middle line”the Ministry of Defense said in a statement.
12:52 p.m. : Beijing announces temporarily suspending or ending its cooperation with the United States on several issues, in response to Nancy Pelosi’s visit to Taiwan.
