(New York) The New York Islanders have signed restricted free agent forward Simon Holmstrom to a one-year contract.
The team did not disclose financial details of the deal.
Homstrom, 23, had 15 goals and 10 assists in 75 games with the Islanders last winter. He ranked second in the NHL with five shorthanded goals.
The Islanders selected Holmstrom with the 23rd overall pick.e He was selected with the 2019 NHL Entry Draft overall. He has 21 goals and 13 assists in 125 career NHL games.
