A senior official of the Islamic State (IS) organization was captured during a US operation in Syria on Thursday June 16, announced the anti-jihadist coalition led by the United States. This man, whose identity has not been revealed, is a “experienced bomb maker” and one of the main IS leaders in the country.
“The operation was meticulously planned to minimize the risk of collateral damage, in particular any potential harm to civilians, said the coalition. No civilians were injured during the operation and there was no damage to coalition aircraft or property.”
