For the stars of French cinema, this is perhaps the best return to school there is: for several days, many actors and directors have gathered at the Francophone Film Festival, in Angoulême, to each present their next films, some of which are particularly expected. This was the case, at the opening, ofA beautiful racewith Dany Boon and Line Renaud, long applauded.

But there is another one that is likely to be talked about in the coming days: Annie Anger, which recounts the struggle of a woman in the 1970s to have the right to an abortion. Brilliantly interpreted by Laure Calamy and directed by Blandine Lenoir, it was presented this Wednesday in the presence of the two women. The actress, radiant in her flowery and even summery look, seemed very happy to find Dominique Besnehard, creator of the series Ten percent who revealed the one who played the role of Noémie. Dominique Besnehard is one of the founders of the Angoulême festival, with Marie-France Brière.

Isabelle Huppert (who had also participated in Ten percent by the way), was also present, in a look totally opposite to that of Laure Calamy: the actress had chosen a black dress and large sunglasses, which went perfectly with her red hair. And if the subject of his next film, About Joanis quite different, it also tells the story of a strong woman, who builds her life as she sees fit.

On the program, historical film and love stories…

Jacques Gamblin, who will soon be starring in the historic film The Tiger and the President, also did not hesitate to pose in front of the photographers with the director, Jean-Marc Peyrefitte, but also with the one who plays the second main role of the film: André Dussollier… also president of the jury! Of course, for the occasion, he had, exceptionally, abandoned this hat for a few hours.

Nora Arnezeder, meanwhile, came surrounded by her director, Salim Kechiouche and two of her partners, Kevin Mischel and the young Hassan Alili to present The Child of Paradise, a highly anticipated drama for several months. More discreet for a few years, the actress was radiant this time, in a very casual outfit with her jeans.

Alexis Michalik, renowned actor, author and multi-award-winning director, is embarking on the production, with the drama Une histoire d’amour, presented for the first time. And as much to say that the actor of 40 years had not come alone: all the young actresses of his film surrounded him. Two of them, Marie-Camille Soyer and Juliette Delacroix, already knew him: both had worked with him in the theater.

In short, a real parade of stars that Jeanfi Jenssens and Géraldine Hamon did not miss: both are in the jury of high school students and will have to declare their favorite at the end of the festival, Sunday…
