A little over a year before the Olympics, construction sites are in full swing to build stadiums but also Olympic villages. Villages in which housing will be sold. But at what cost ?

Living where the athletes will stay during the Games, in the heart of the Olympic village in Saint-Denis, a dream for many that will come true for a handful of buyers. 174 apartments are currently marketed. But is buying here a good deal? Adolphe Correa discovers his future residence for the first time. He is the very first purchaser of the program. The accountant has just signed for a duplex of 69m2, two bathrooms and two bedrooms which will initially accommodate several athletes during the competition.

A place that will gain in attractiveness

Its cost is 480,000 euros, a justified investment according to Adolphe Correa. On average, it will take 7,000 euros per square meter to buy in the residence, more expensive than current prices in the area. For the developer, the place will gain in attractiveness, especially with the arrival of metro lines. The city ensures not to reproduce the case of the London Olympics where the promise of affordable housing was not kept. Eventually, 2,500 new residents will move into the Olympic district. The owners will be able to settle there in 2025.
