Dominique Ouattara, First Lady of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire and wife of President Alassane Ouattara, invited many personalities to Abidjan on March 11, 2022. First, everyone was able to attend a musical visit by the school group of Excellence Children of Africa in Abobo, financed by donations collected in previous years by the Children of Africa association. Then a gala and an auction took place at the Sofitel Ivoire hotel.
“Four years ago there was only brushwood“, explains Dominique Ouattara to the magazine Gala, evoking the famous school group built with the help of his association. The first lady then changed her outfit to put on her thirty-one, just like her guests. Funds raised from the specially designed dinner by three-star chef Yannick Alleno and Ivorian chef Prisca Gilbert and from the auction will be allocated to two vitally important projects: the construction of a shelter for women victims of violence and their children, as well as the expansion of the Children’s Case, which has been welcoming vulnerable children since 1998.
Crowned heads, celebrities… many of them made the trip to Côte d’Ivoire to support the Children of Africa association.
