More and more Iranian women are rising up against the regime which requires them to cover their hair and body. A movement of revolt triggered since the weekend of September 17, after the death of a young woman arrested by the morality police for a veil that she had put on incorrectly.

To Saqqez (Iran)an Iranian flag is lowered to the cheers of protesters. Since the weekend of September 17, protests have been rising in the country. To the rhythm of the slogan “Woman, life, freedom”, the indignant Iranian women remove their veils, in homage to their compatriot. Mahsa Amini22, died in Tehran hospital (Iran)three days after his arrest by the vice squad. She had let her hair hang out of her scarf. Since then, in solidarity, Iranian women show themselves on social networks outside, without a veil, and therefore illegally.

Other rebellious Iranian women choose to cut their hair. Very political scissors, like a challenge to the Islamic Republic. To appease the rebellion, the Iranian authorities have denied having violated Mahsa Amini. As proof, they want an excerpt from video surveillance where we see the young woman collapsing on her own in the police premises. A video that does not stifle anger. Repression intensifies. Three people died in the protests.
