On Tuesday, October 1, nearly 200 missiles were launched at Jerusalem from Iran. Most of these missiles were intercepted by the Israeli anti-missile shield. Shortly before this attack, six Israelis were victims of an attack described as terrorist in Tel Aviv (Israel).

A scene of terror took place in Tel Aviv (Israel) on the evening of Tuesday October 1st. In the Jaffa district, a terrorist attack took place at a tram stop. Two men armed with an automatic rifle opened fire and shot dead eight passers-by before being neutralized. Police were securing the perimeter when another threat arrived from the air. A rain of missiles launched by Iran fell across the country. Screams of panic were heard in the streets of Tel Aviv, and warning sirens sounded continuously.

Hundreds of streaks of light illuminated the sky over Jerusalem. The massive attack launched by Tehran had been announced a few minutes earlier by the United States. Israel immediately placed the country on high alert, warning the population of a series of attacks. Of the 180 missiles launched, many were intercepted by Israel’s Iron Dome. The operation was quickly claimed by the Iranian Revolutionary Guards. This is the response, they say, to the deaths of the leaders of Hezbollah and Hamas. On Tuesday evening, US President Joe Biden ordered his military to help defend Israel.
