Inzpok invents a parental control solution for online shopping

Romain Peroux and Antoine Breger, two Montpellier residents, founded Inzpok in March 2020, with the idea of developing a parental control solution for online shopping. She already uses this system for children’s Christmas lists. Interview with Romain Peroux, the CEO of the company.

How does your digital Christmas list work?

The dynamic is initiated by the parent: he comes to register his child and then determines the items he can choose online. For example, it will prohibit access to a given video game or such a figurine.

And I imagine it was as a dad that you came up with the idea?

There are two of us, so there is Antoine Breger, my partner and who is also the co-founder. And in fact, it was really him who encountered this problem first, saying to himself: ‘Here, my daughter, she is 8 years old and she just asked me for some pocket money to buy something online. ‘. There, we realized thatthere was really nothing to help children discover their consumption.

So when Christmas is over, you won’t be on vacation. You are going to expand your system to e-commerce in general. What will the philosophy of your site be?

We aim to be a site offinancial education. With, they will learn to manage their money, but also learn to be able and to know how to use it.

According to a study we did, 74% of 14-year-old children say they have already used online – Romain Peroux, CEO of Inzpok

In the coming weeks we will be going out a piggy bank 2.0: it will be the first online payment method for children, depending on parental control. Then we will release a social login: it is a tool thanks to which the child will not be obliged to enter his personal information to make an online purchase.
