Pop star The Weeknd received an award for his involvement in humanitarian causes.
The Toronto-born singer is the recipient of the Allan Slaight Humanitarian Spirit Award, whose foundation will donate $50,000 to a cause of his choice.
The Weeknd notably supported a United Nations humanitarian program, which raised 5 million.
The Slaight Family Foundation also highlighted its support for the Black Lives Matter movement.
