They have been friends for fifteen years! Real BFFs! Between chef Hélène Darroze and the widow of Johnny Hallyday, complicity was there from the start! It was their love of cooking that first brought them together and then, one thing leading to another, these two personalities from the south of France discovered other points in common… and not the least! Both are also the happy mothers of two little girls adopted in Vietnam. And if Jade and Joy are well known to the general public, Charlotte and Quiterie Darroze are more discreet… In 2019, Laetitia did not hesitate to describe Philippe Etchebest’s sidekick as her “soulmate” from her Instagram account, adding at the moment of the victory of the latter with her candidate in the final of Top chef : “Continue to shine so beautifully, to enlighten us with your smile, your creativity, your free and positive spirit, your wisdom, your kindness, your generosity and your benevolence. My friend with a big heart, generous and luminous to the mom and the friend that you know so well to be.”, wrote the one who had been able to count on the stove at the time of her terrible ordeal of mourning in 2017.

“He wasn’t always funny”
However, the starred chef, a great regular at the home of Marnes-la-Coquette, admits that, if she always got along very well with Laeticia, it was not always the same with the Taulier. And to come back to the subject again this Saturday, June 3, 2023, at the microphone of Jade and Eric Dussart in We redo the TV, on RTL. The journalist hands him the perch: “Is it true that Johnny was sometimes a little jealous of your complicity? He said ‘Ah, does she take up a lot of space Hélène Darroze’?…”. And the 56-year-old woman responds with a smirk: “He sometimes showed me a little, but it was always very nice. Johnny was very possessive with Laeticia, he always said “Where is my wife, where is my wife…” He knew that she entrusted me with a lot of things, that we had a lot of complicity with each other… and sometimes, that l was a little annoying…”
