investigations carried out on land in the north of Meurthe-et-Moselle

Confirming information revealed by the Republican Lorrain this Tuesday, May 10, the Nancy prosecutor François Pérain indicates that excavations were organized on land in the north of Meurthe-et-Moselle in Lantefontaine near Val de Briey. The regional daily evokes “themassive military presence”.

François Pérain reveals that “an investigating judge from the Nancy court was called upon to take up a very old disappearance case. In this context checks were carried out on land in Lantefontaine which turned out to be negative” .

Disappeared since 2010

The Nancy prosecutor further specifies that the missing person, born in 1964 in the Meuse, disappeared in 2010, “hassoon to be released from Briey hospital, where he had been hospitalized for behavioral problems”.

The magistrate speaks of “several hypotheses examined, that of suicide and another hypothesis which led the investigators of the research section of Metz to carry out the excavation of the land of Lantefontaine” François Pérain adds “This assumption was obviously wrong. German sniffer dogs were mobilized as part of cross-border police cooperation“.
