The Interac network outage that affected funds transfers and electronic payments between banking customers in Canada for several hours on Thursday was finally resolved by the end of the day.
At the Canadian headquarters of the Interac company, in Toronto, it was indicated at the end of the afternoon that the network had returned to normal service.
“Interac has resolved issues with the Interac e-Transfer service that caused temporary service disruptions at some financial institutions. We can confirm that the service is now operating normally,” said Adrienne Vaughan, Senior Manager of External Communications at Interac in an email exchange with Business Press.
