Odessa, in Ukraine, was targeted on Monday, May 9, by intense bombardments. A shopping center was destroyed. Report.
In the still smoking ruins of a shopping center in Odessa (Ukraine), the first investigations began on Tuesday, May 10, after at least two missile strikes that occurred the previous evening. It was 10:30 p.m. when the explosions were felt, as far as the city center. In the early morning, the inhabitants were amazed to see the war erupt in their supermarket. “It was scary. There was a flash, and then a huge shock wave,” confided one of them.
Two hotels on the Black Sea coast were also pulverized, about fifty kilometers away. A warehouse area was also hit. “There was no military infrastructure or ammunition depot here, and there never has been,” assured Gennady Trukhanov, the mayor of Odessa. The strikes on Odessa, a strategic city in southern Ukraine, have intensified in recent days.
