L’Insoumis Sébastien Delogu is filing a complaint against Marine Le Pen for public defamation, reports France Bleu Provence on Thursday, July 4. The deputy for the 7th constituency of Bouches-du-Rhône, re-elected in the first round, criticizes the leader of the National Rally for her comments made on Wednesday, July 3, during the 8 p.m. news on TF1. She denounced a “clip of a filthy anti-Semitism like we have not seen since the Second World War”published on the TikTok account of the LFI deputy.

The elected representative for the northern districts indicated, in a press release on X, that Marine Le Pen’s comments are a “attack on the righteousness of [son] political fight and [sa] dignity”. “The National Rally is trying today to draw attention to us, to make people believe that there is an anti-Semite in our camp, who does not exist and never has existed.” continues the MP. “Anti-Semitism, historically, has always been expressed by members of the National Front, which became the RN, a party founded in particular by Nazis, Waffen-SS or former members of the OAS” he concludes.

Marine Le Pen refers to a video montage where is shown among others the face of the French-Israeli MP Meyer Habib, then the image from a pizza box mentioning a “stone oven”. The incriminated video was deleted from Sébastien Delogu’s TikTok account. On France 3, he justified himself by explaining that this frozen pizza box was a reference to “pizzas brought during the negotiations of the union of the left” for the legislative elections.
