“For several weeks, Mr. Aly Diouara has been the target of online harassment campaigns of unprecedented violence and threats of attacks on his physical integrity.”explains Victoire Stephan. “These personal attacks, marked by racism and Islamophobia, go beyond the scope of legitimate criticism that any politician can receive in the exercise of his functions.”the lawyer continues.
During the campaign for the European elections, the parliamentarian had notably described Raphaël Glucksmann, leader of the PS list, as “Zionist candidate”. Subsequently, after his election, Aly Diouara appeared in a photo with three other members of the National Assembly (Raphaël Arnault, Sébastien Delogu and Carlos Martens Bilongo), a photo which triggered a wave of attacks, particularly from the far right.
