Landmarks

Luz Environment wants to raise awareness and organize the sector of reuse and deposit of wine bottles in Gironde. The company is going to set up the first industrial unit in France which will make it possible to sort, clean and control the bottle for reuse by winegrowers, while guaranteeing consumer safety. The project resolutely responds to the challenges of ecological transition and circular economy. Indeed, the reuse/reuse of bottles makes it possible to extend their lifespan thanks to the deposit and to preserve the resources (-75% energy compared to recycling) necessary for the manufacture of new bottles.

The Start-up Win incubator

“Bernard Magrez opens the doors of the wine, vine and wine tourism sectors to the most promising start-ups thanks to the first incubator entirely dedicated to the wine sector and wine tourism. “Bernard Magrez Start-Up Win” is also the only start-up incubator to be located in the heart of the vineyards, on a working property, and close to many other renowned Bordeaux wine properties.”

The support program includes coaching sessions with Bernard Magrez. Start-ups will benefit from partnerships with innovative bodies such as the WineTech, with higher education institutions related to wine, with professional business networks. The possibility of carrying out their own experiments on the vineyard, help with fundraising, help with business development and regular monitoring by a start-up manager are also on the program.

As the start-ups of the class of 2021 complete their first year of incubation, rich in progress and novelties, these are 47 start-ups in total which will constitute the 2022 Promotion of the Bernard Magrez Start-Up Win incubator from January. The 13 new start-ups will thus join a structure opened in January 2021 in the heart of hundreds of hectares of vines and pine forests in Léognan in Gironde

Operation

3 support cycles adapted to the level of maturity of start-ups. Selected from nearly 40 applications received from France and several countries, the 10 winners of the “Primeurs” program (complete list below) will join a support structure designed and created with the aim of promoting innovation and digitization in the wine sector. To do this, start-ups will benefit from personalized support from a Unitec start-up manager and attend collective workshops and training at the Technopole. Unitec can rely on its experience with more than 500 start-ups supported and on a sustainability rate of the companies monitored of 83% at 5 years. Entrepreneurs housed in the heart of the wine-growing ecosystem will be able to count on the support of the Scientific Research Center Bernard Magrez and on the business experience of the Bordeaux owner and his teams. The Millésimes club, a network of start-ups that already have some experience, experience and customers, will also benefit from the support of the incubator in order to help them cross a new bearing. These start-ups will also offer regular sharing of experience to the 10 young winners in order to facilitate their development. Finally, the Sartre Castle offers a coworking space with a collaborative animation program to various project leaders wishing to benefit from the collective intelligence created on the property. Whether they are project leaders at the creation stage, or entrepreneurs in the launch or marketing phase, specific support is offered according to 3 rounds.
