Inflation in the United States slowed ever so slightly in September year on year, but accelerated again year on year despite lower gasoline prices, and remained broad based, the Labor Department said on Thursday.
The rise in prices was 8.2% compared to September 2021, when in August it was 8.3% compared to August 2021, according to the CPI index, which refers.
This slowdown is lighter than expected, and, over just one month, price growth accelerated again, climbing by 0.4% between August and September, against 0.1% between July and August.
