Xavier Dupont de Ligonnès is one of France’s most wanted men. This ex-commercial is accused of having murdered his entire family in 2011. In particular his four children named Benoît, Anne, Thomas and Arthur as well as his wife Agnès. For investigators, he would have buried his entire clan himself before disappearing. “I investigate different cases, such as the Omar Raddad case. There, Xavier Dupont de Ligonnès, it’s out of the ordinary”, he analyzed to our colleagues. “I wanted to know what could push a man who loves his family to murder them in an organized way. It exists, but it is rare in criminal records. I saw around me how this case upset people, and I wanted to have an answer about this crime. For this, I researched for six years.”

His wife is cheating on him with a close friend, debts are piling up, his family life is slipping away from him… A situation he would not have endured. “We see that he has a special relationship with time. He suffers from a melancholy-type depression, and it is a common thread that could help to understand his actions, in addition to his financial and family problems…”, acted Guy Hugnet. “More than a year before the crime, he mentions the suicide and the homicide in a letter to his friends.
