Jaime Del Burgo was going to ask Letizia in marriage when she told him that another man had entered her life: Felipe de Bourbon. Despite her attraction to the king, she would have asked her supposed ex-lover, the day before their union, why he had not “not proposed to marry”. Despite their “separation”, Jaime maintains an important role with the queen. This even makes him the uncle of Leonor and Sofia, born in 2005 and 2007.
