The motorist who injured a police officer during an arrest this Thursday in Sochaux (Doubs) was indicted this Saturday evening for attempted murder and refusal to comply, France Bleu Belfort-Montbéliard has learned with the Montbéliard public prosecutor’s office. The man, aged 22, was placed in pre-trial detention at the Belfort remand center. He should be transferred to Dijon prison this Monday for medical reasons.

The motorist tried to flee

During a police check this Thursday in Sochaux, an agent from the anti-crime brigade (BAC) was dragged for several meters by the car of the motorist who was trying to flee during a road check. The police officer’s colleague opened fire on the car. The driver suffered a hip injury and the police officer suffered several fractures.

Due to his injury, the young man “was not physically able to speak during his hearing”, indicated his lawyer Maître Nelly Rouzet. Automobilizes it “denies the criminal nature of the facts with which he is accused”.
