A troupe of teenage girls from the Compagnie Pommes Dauphines Junior perform the play “Les Blessures” and courageously address the issues that resonate with their generation.
On the occasion of the amateur theater festival “Les Tréteaux” in Voiron (Isère), a group of young girls from the Compagnie Pommes Dauphines Junior go on stage and perform a play to free up speech. Through The wounds, middle and high school girls hope to legitimize adolescents’ view of society.
A committed show
The committed show is taken from Third Looka booklet of poignant texts. This “third look” is that of adolescence on the world, which is already no longer that of childhood, and not yet that of adults.
In the spotlight or in the darkness, they deliver their deepest reflections. Police violence, suicide, gender: they find the right words to share their “wounds” without taboo.
To interpret these pieces, they start from several observations. For example, at least 700,000 students are harassed each year in France, some of them have already been victims, others have witnessed it. Each brings their own perspective and experience, informed by deep reflections.
Young teenage girls bring to life a real theatrical experience that invites everyone to think, feel, and get involved.
A liberated word
The theater troupe has, above all, the ambition to take and give voice by transforming the play into a platform for voices that remain silent.

They offer a solution to face difficult problems by going on stage, proof for her that art can be a means of expression and healing “wounds”.
The young girls actively invite other high school and college students to take their turn in the play.
