In the two featherless feet, Pierre Morency

Funny little book offered to us by the great Pierre Morency (American eye, Big lantern). In the form of an inventory which is reminiscent of the tenderness of Jacques Prévert, the poet in love with birds undertakes the writing of his “people’s notebook” in which he records “all these beings seen, heard, imagined in during [s]recent life ”. In a poetic prose, he thus parades these “two feet without feathers” with brief descriptions in turn accurate, attentive, amusing, mocking, curious, moving, inventive. ” The people. These are the egologists. Here are the I. Here are me. Here are the moi-moi, here are the vroum-boom generations. In doing so, he juggles with words, their meaning and their sound, thus creating playful observations or light reflections on the great human family. To decorate the whole thing, the author makes dance on the pages of anonymous humanoid figures and mysterious winged creatures sketched in Indian ink, “the hottest of blacks”.
