There are only three days of campaigning left for the legislative candidates. A lightning campaign in particular for the Insoumis François Ruffin, in his Somme constituency. The candidate is increasingly isolated within La France Insoumise since distancing himself from Jean-Luc Mélenchon in recent days. François Ruffin believes that the leader of the left party is an obstacle in this campaign.
During his door-to-door campaign in Amiens, Wednesday June 26, residents opened easily. François Ruffin hands out leaflets. In front of him, Dolorès intends to vote for him and congratulates him for having “put away from Mr. Mélenchon” and adds: “I, the Insoumis, can’t take it anymore. The spectacle I saw during these two years in the National Assembly disgusted me. I don’t want Mr. Mélenchon as Prime Minister.”
“It’s me you have around”, reassures the New Popular Front candidate. When asked if he shares the observation, François Ruffin evades: “In any case, it’s an observation that comes up regularly.” He explains that “the line that has been carried for two years is a line that makes it very difficult to win a corner like here”. He no longer wants to speak out against Jean-Luc Mélenchon since the violent charge by Adrien Quatennens. The person very close to the leader of the Insoumis advised him on “an obstacle to the victory of the New Popular Front”
François Ruffin barely comments on “I don’t care at all. Nobody cares here so let him continue campaigning on Twitter”. Is it possible to continue to play politics with La France Insoumise under these conditions? “Anyway, I’m fighting right now. I’m fighting for the people here. So that they don’t take the wrong path in their anger,” the candidate pulled himself together.
It’s hard to imagine him sitting with LFI on July 7. Until then, we must save our constituency which is leaning a little more towards the extreme right.
