In Irpin, a bombed Ukrainian town, many residents have fled. Others still refuse to leave.

In the arms of their parents, many children of Irpin (Ukraine) flee the sound of the bombardments. In the almost empty city, civilians have hung a white flag on their car, a teenager is in the back. A city councilor wants to evacuate children from an outlying neighborhood. On site, a family gathered around a brazier, which is used for meals. The shots, distant, do not seem to worry anyone.

The family no longer has electricity, but still has water. She lives and sleeps in one room. She hasn’t packed her things yet. Despite the insistence of the father to evacuate the girls and the big brother, the mother refuses. “I’m not going anywhere. No one will force me, I’m not going anywhere”, she retorts. She doesn’t want to be separated from the sick grandmother who lives here. The children would like to leave. “I’m bored”comments one of them.
