Every Monday, a personality shares their favorite shows with us. This week we spoke to Naadei, who hosts the second season of the island of love, broadcast Monday to Thursday at 9 p.m. on TVA. It’s funny to say, but I only discovered Véronique Cloutier last year! I watch very little TV. At home, we didn’t have cable and my mother preferred that we read and play outside. So I dove into the vastness of his oeuvre recently with Shadow and light. I’m just getting started as a facilitator and I was floored to see how kindly she asks tough questions. We understand that she simply wants to know her guests. Their curiosity is rewarded because they don’t feel threatened. They want to share. »

Sarah-Maude Beauchesne’s web series is my absolute favorite this year! I feel like I see my life and that of my friends every time I dive into an episode of Fork. It’s incredibly accurate and sensitive. It’s believed, without being a caricature of our generation. In addition, it validates a lot of emotions that we go through when we live our thirties in 2022! On top of that, the looks of the character played by Sarah-Maude, elaborated by Mélodie Wronski, are captivating enough on their own to make me look forward to the next episodes. »

Where do you come from ? is a documentary series created by Nicolas Ouellet.

Nicolas Ouellet’s show is a gem. Through his quest to trace his origins, he meets other people who have done the exercise to understand where they come from and determine what is right for them in terms of identity. It’s reassuring to see that other people are going through the same things as me. When people ask me where I come from and I answer: Rouyn-Noranda, people are not satisfied. If I say Ghana, in West Africa, that suits them, but I have been there two days in my life. So am I really from there? In short, the series is very sensitive. »
