Thirty is a great age to celebrate. But that’s not a reason to do anything either. After having had to postpone the festivities because of the snow during the reception of OM a few weeks ago, the Green Angels of Saint-Etienne (one of the two ultra groups from Saint-Etienne) had decided to celebrate their anniversary at the occasion of the reception of Monaco this Saturday, April 23. But in the 67th minute, the show went a bit too far, and the game was called off with ASM leading 3-1.

Contrary to classic incidents, and in particular in Nancy on Friday in Ligue 2, no smoke bombs were launched on the lawn. And the incidents in question are not a show of anger, but a “party” that has gone too far. Because after having multiplied the spectacular animations in the stands, the Green Angels blew out their candles dangerously after the hour of play.
Apart from the many smoke bombs that came to set the Cauldron ablaze throughout the meeting, the kop indeed launched into an impressive fireworks display, fired from the bottom of the tribune. A pyrotechnic show not to the taste of the officials present, which prompted Mr. Dechepy to interrupt the meeting in the 67th minute of play. A crisis unit met in stride and decided to resume the meeting after 25 minutes of interruption .
Unfortunately for AS Saint-Etienne, the forced break had no sporting effect for the Greens. Dominated head and shoulders by Monegasques still as dashing, the Stéphanois were valiant, but overwhelmed.
