The device is based on a mobile application that allows the patient to self-assess upstream to then be directed to the service best suited to their needs. The public targeted by the program is the age group of 55/70 years, that is to say the moment when health problems are still limited. The two areas we are working on are how to identify as early as possible anything that could lead you to physical but also cognitive dependence.”, explains Éric Boulanger, geriatrician.

With this preventive medical care, doctors hope to offer patients the opportunity to fully enjoy their old age while maintaining their autonomy. The project is under development, a second unit dedicated to “ageing well” should open its doors soon at the University Hospital of Lille.
