in the middle of an interview, David Hallyday evokes the reaction of his father Johnny after having refused him an important project in his eyes

It was on September 13, 1999 that the 42e Johnny Hallyday’s studio album is born. For the first time, the Taulier is collaborating with his son, David Hallyday, for a project that will be called “Bloodless”. An album hailed by critics and adored by fans who want more. Initially leaving to collaborate again, the father and the son will finally abandon the project on the decision of the first. A choice that the 56-year-old artist has long regretted.

Indeed, guest on M-Radio this Friday, April 21, Laura Smet’s brother spoke frankly about this second collaboration which aborted. “Did you tell your father ‘listen, we’re going to stop there, we’re staying on blood for blood’, did he understand that right away or did he still resent you a bit?”asked Jérome Zano before David Hallyday assured: “No, he didn’t blame me”. However, the son of the Taulier recognizes that this one “was a bit disappointed”. “I think and I too somewhere because I was looking forward to doing five or six months with him to work with him”he continues before acknowledging: “it was really cool for the first time”.

David Hallyday, and his rare moments with his father…

Despite these regrets, at the time, David Hallyday assures him. Today, over time, “don’t regret it after all”. However, this joint work would have allowed him to spend even more time with his father. Because moments with the Taulier, the 56-year-old artist would not have lived much as he regretted it on the show “Indulge” Thursday, March 23 on RTL.

At the microphone of Steven Bellery, Laura Smet’s brother indeed returned to the rare moments of joy he shared with his father: “He had often left, he was often on tour, so there were moments of music at five o’clock in the morning to play the drums with his friends, when they came home at an hour’s notice”. “There were funny moments like that, (even if) it amused my mother less I think, but me it amused me a lot. It seemed to amuse her too”he remembered, moved.
