Wednesday June 7, 2023, the mother of the teenager was received by Brigitte Macron, after a first interview with the Minister of National Education, Pap N’Diaye. During this meeting, the First Lady made her a proposal as she revealed it when she came to BFM TV. “She offered me to be an ambassador to fight against harassment, we will work together”said Betty, the mother of Lindsay, a student in 4th class harassed. “Madame Macron is a woman very very touched by this story, she made me feel like that […] it was a conversation between a mother and another mother”, she added. “She told me that she would be there, that she was going to fight against harassment with me, that we were going to fight together, I felt a little supported”. The rectorate of the Lille academy has announced the opening of an administrative investigation.

As a reminder, the family of the schoolgirl filed a complaint against the management of the college, the Lille academy and the police officers in charge of the investigation but also Facebook and Instagram for “non-assistance to person in danger”.
