At lunch time, while activity is in full swing in a bar, the owner isolates himself for a few minutes in his reserve, for a gesture he can no longer do without: using a page of his order book, he uses cocaine. It testifies : “Sometimes when I go down to the basement, or when I go to the bathroom, I take the opportunity to do one quickly”. He even admits to being totally addicted: “for two or three years, I haven’t gone a day without using”he explains.
A drug that has become omnipresent
In 2022, 600,000 French people have used cocaine. For people aged 18 to 64, this figure is five times higher than 20 years ago. Growing consumption thanks to a fall in prices: between 50 and 70 euros per gram, four times cheaper than 30 years ago. Far from his image “jet set”cocaine now penetrates all social classes.
