In the heart of Puy-de-Dôme, an associative school to learn differently

Learning differently is the challenge that La Rigole, an associative school, has set itself. For four years, the structure has been installed in the Puy-de-Dôme, in the Vort area, about thirty minutes from Clermont-Ferrand. Currently, eleven children from Grande section to CM2 are registered there.

The establishment is private and out of contract, but follows the programs of the National Education, and is therefore inspected as a traditional school structure. This alternative school, in the middle of the countryside, is based on the Freinet pedagogy, precisely very focused on lessons through the discovery of nature. Autonomy and cooperation are also key words for this method which seeks to empower children in their learning.

Next April, La Rigole will offer an immersive day to discover how it works, looking for new registrants to be able to continue to exist, the funding being mainly provided by the parents who are members of the associative school.
