You can now get tested by an ospeech therapist or eyewear optician. “In view of the very strong circulation of the epidemic” of Covid-19, the list of professionals authorized to carry out tests has been expanded, can we read in a decree published in the Official Journal, Thursday, January 20. Important clarification: the acts must however be carried out “under the responsibility of an authorized health professional”, like a doctor or a pharmacist.

For “deal with the very high demand for individual screening tests”, the list was opened to the following disciplines : “speech therapist, podiatrist-podiatrist, orthoptist, medical physicist, occupational therapist, psychomotor therapist, audioprosthetist, dietician, optician-eyewear maker, orthoprosthetist, podo-orthotist, ocularist, epithetist, orthopedist-orthotist, dental assistant”.
