in the face of a terrible tragedy, Mélissa Theuriau speaks on Instagram

The former editor-in-chief and presenter of “Zone Interdite” on M6 is a woman involved in many fights against injustice. In particular, she has made numerous documentaries, including a whole series devoted to miscarriages of justice alongside her friend Florence Cassez. This Frenchwoman who was unjustly held in prison in Mexico for seven long years. We know Mélissa Theuriau is also close to many humanitarian causes and associations. She is the godmother, among others, of Rêves for hospitalized children whose vital prognosis is reserved. In 2007, the journalist joined forces with her colleagues Claire Chazal, Marie Drucker, Laurence Ferrari, Béatrice Schôonberg and Tina Kieffer, to promote the “La Rose” operation in partnership with Unicef, aimed at helping young girls to access to education.

A tragic story, a cry for help

Happy professionally, Mélissa is also happy personally with her husband Jamel Debbouze. Married in 2008, they have since expanded their family with a little Léon, born in 2008, and young Lila, born in 2011. And, as a mother, the story she relays on Instagram particularly touched!

The message is worded as follows: “My name is Nathalie at the age of 29, I lost my family following a traffic accident. On the way back to our home, my husband Ali and my 3 children were victims of a frontal collision which cost them their lives. Ali was only 28 years old, my son Kemrel 6 years old, Liam 4 years old and my daughter Aleyana 18 months. My daughter Aleyana fought 7 days, 7 days of suffering, 7 days without hearing her, 7 days watching her. My husband and I had wanted so much to have a daughter, a little girl who adored her brothers; which was only 18 months old. I wondered a lot if I should forgive him! But the truth is as it literally KILLED me. The second question, how does my mother-in-law do it? An unanswered question because the links are now broken. The most painful thing is to feel guilty because I had to take care of his son. A woman who loses her husband is a widow, but there are no words for a mother who loses her child. The damage is substantial, this drama has caused several disputes including the procedure for the burial of my husband which was a trauma… Since June 12, 2021 I have never stopped but unfortunately I am starting to wear myself out.

A strong message, which touches the heart, that the journalist shared with the label on the post: “Force to Nathalie whom I admire so much to be still standing… Let justice be done”. A call for help that we hope will be heard by as many people as possible.
