To avoid the overcrowding of natural sites, the Drôme tourist offices call on influencers. The objective of the approach is to promote lesser-known territories and places while preserving the natural environment of the Vercors. #IlsOntLaSolution
The overcrowding of natural sites can cause some problems for the tranquility of these places. Visual and sound pollution or even disruption of flora and fauna. To limit all these inconveniences, the Drôme tourist offices invite influencers to visit these places by organizing meeting days. The initiative has several objectives: it must allow the tourist promotion of these landscapes, make discover new places to their community as well as teach them to preserve the environment of Vercors.
These people were brought together on a day called “Instameet“, a contraction of Instagram and dating. These influencers were chosen because they all share the same point in common. They love the mountains. “These are communities that share the same values as us and to whom we want to send messages. In particular awareness-raising but also discovery of the territory through artists, craftsmen or local producers”, explains Cécile Munier, responsible for tourism promotion at Inspiration Vercors.
These routes give the opportunity to the various members present to feed their networks with photos and show the beauty of nature to their subscribers. But it’s also a way to send a message. “I try to tell those who follow me to be careful when there are animals. Because I want to limit the disturbance of wildlife. And for other more touristy places, I advise people not to go all at the same time. time in summer “, says Emilie, Instagrammer.
Thanks to this approach, the tourist offices hope to attract visitors to the region and make them discover little-known places to avoid overcrowding.
