In Taiwan, is Nancy Pelosi endangering the global balance?

Despite threats from Chinese authorities, Speaker of the United States House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi arrived in Taiwan on Tuesday. She met the president of Taiwan, Tsai Ing-wen, before returning to American lands.

Beijing sees Taiwan as part of its territory to be reunified, by force if necessary, and has repeatedly warned Washington against a visit from Nancy Pelosi, the highest-ranking US official to visit Taiwan since 1997.
