Like every evening, 11 p.m. info takes a look at the news broadcast by European television channels. It’s Eurozapping for Monday September 11.

In Switzerland, residents voted 54% against the acceleration of Alpine solar park projects. Around ten projects are underway. They are subsidized 60% by the Swiss state, on the condition that they begin production by 2025. Switzerland relies on its solar parks for its energy independence. But she still has to convince her residents.

A gigantic construction site in Germany

For its part, Germany is planning a green electricity highway. In the Hamburg region, the wind is generous and the residents are accommodating of wind turbines. “We see them but we no longer pay attention to them, we are used to them”, confides a man. Since 2015, the Germans have been planning to send the surplus of this electricity to Bavaria. But the project was delayed by opponents of the giant pylons. The cables will therefore be buried over a distance of approximately 700 km. This gigantic project will cost more than ten billion euros.
