In “suffering”, the journalist FINALLY gives her news and details the illness that strikes her

Since December 2021, Marie-Sophie Lacarrau has not appeared at the head of the 1 p.m. television news.

“A medical problem will prevent me from joining you. It’s not the Covid! It’s an ophthalmological problem! So, I send you in this message: all my best wishes for 2022 and I’ll see you very soon on the news of TF1!”, she said on Twitter in early January when she was supposed to make her return after leaving her place to Jacques Legros. For several weeks, the latter acted as interim before being replaced in turn by Julien Arnaud, for a few days.

“The priority for Marie-Sophie as for TF1 is that she continue her convalescence and recovery to return to the news as soon as possible”announced a press release from the first channel when everyone hoped to have the date of his return to the antenna.

This Saturday, February 26, the journalist gave her news on social networks. It was in a video that she spoke.

“It’s to protect my eye which is still fragile”she said in particular, the face masked by a large pair of sunglasses. “I do not want to dwell on my case, I want to answer all those who question me, so that you understand my long absence”she let go before saying more about her “ophthalmological problem”. “I suffer from an eye infection, a rare and severe infection, which requires long treatment”she then said.

If she can’t wait to “quickly” find her viewers, Marie-Sophie Lacarrau said she was touched by “all these expressions of attention and support.”
